Variable angle mixer blade on rotor shaft - is adjustable relative to supporting arm fixed to shaft

A variable pitch mixer blade for a rotary mixer is adjustable in its pitch angle relative to its radial support arm; this support arm is, however, fixed relative to the shaft. Pref. the blade is attached to the arm by a bolt-and-nut connection passing through an elongated hole, pref. in the arm, and a circular hole, pref. in the blade. By loosening the nut, the blade can therefore be adjusted to different positions relative to the arm. For mixing any powdered, granular or plastics material where a wide range of problems can be encountered and the pitch angle must accordingly be adjustable. The arrangement enables the shaft to be of simple construction since the arm can be clamped around it. Moreover, the arm itself and the blade can be made as simple castings requiring no special machining to finish them.
