PURPOSE:To obtain a character pattern of a different thickness dimension ratio by providing a means for converting character pattern outline information to character pattern outline information of a different thickness dimension ratio, painting out the inside of its outline and storing it as character pattern dot information. CONSTITUTION:The above device is provided with a means 301 for converting to a character pattern of a different thickness dimension ratio with respect to an external form dimension of a character pattern, therefore, by mixing partially a character pattern whose thickness is different into a generated character pattern, its character pattern can be emphasized, and by generating a character patter whose thickness is thick, the whole sentence can be emphasized. Also, the device is provided with a means for converting character pattern outline information 251 to character pattern outline information 351 of a different thickness dimension ratio with respect to the external form dimension of the character pattern, and a means 303 for painting out the inside of its outline from the converted character pattern outline information 351 and storing it as character pattern dot information in a bit map memory 116, therefore, the character pattern can be generated at a high speed. |
