A cooking vessel operates using the fluidised bed principal. It contains a mass of quartz particles (4), supported by a double bottom (2) which is heat resistant, and allows air to pass through. Above this is a heating element (3) with thermostatic control. A blower (5) mounted at one end fluidises the quartz particles, and the good is enclosed in a foil package (7) with a metal steam outlet tube (8) at the top. This may be suspended in a basket (6) supported on the top of the vessel. Non-packaged food such as potatoes may be cooked by this device. |
