<p>A tapping clamp for a supply cable, made in two parts which are clamped together round the cable so that contact points penetrate the insulation to make contact with a pair of cores, in which each half of the clamp (1, 2) has a central bore through which a clamping screw (21) can pass; arranged concentrically about the central connecting screw a cutting edge is provided to effect the electrical contact. The arrangement is compact and easy to fit in a confined space, is suitable for a range of cable sizes, and is cheap to produce.</p> |
