A hinge fitting for automobile vehicle seat in which two parts are pivoted together, comprising a recessed body or a peripheral rim of the part and a latch member in the form of a rotatable circular disc received in the body recess or in the rim. The inner peripheral wall of the recess or the internal face of the rim locates and provides a bearing for the latch member which is peripherally toothed for latching engagement with a detent. The detent engages the latch member and acts to retain the latter in the latching position.
