<p>The automatic brake pressure corrector for use with a trailer operates as a function of load. It consists of a body with a piston and membrane. Inside the piston is a double valve acted on by a spring. A chamber below the piston is joined to a source of brake pressure and another, above it, is joined to the brake cylinders. The brake pressure can be varied according to the position of the various parts. This position is decided by a lever mounted on the trailer and connected to the suspension.</p> |
