Electrostatic charging of photoconductor layer on metal - using electret layer between metal layers, eliminating need for external voltage supply

Equipment for electrostatic charging of a photoconductive layer uses (a) a photoconductive layer with a metal layer and (b) an electret layer between 2 metal layers, of which the one towards the photoconductive layer can be lifted off. Pref. layer (b) is in the form of an internally evacuated drum or layer; (a) is in the form of a drum. Charging can take place as often as desired and no external voltage supply is needed.
