<p>The mechanism removes rolls of strip material wound onto cores from a winding shaft and simultaneously fits empty cores to the shaft. A slide reciprocates horizontally on a working table, having a housing with recesses accommodating empty cores, and on the table is a spindle axially in line with the cores in the housing, while a space is left free for the winding spindle between spindle and housing. The slide (10) has a separator device (A) incorporating a number of compartments extending at right angles to the winding spindle (36). These are formed by parallel walls, each with a recess through which the winding spindle passes. Thus when the slide travels in one direction, the device, while maintaining the interval between the rolls, thrusts them onto the other spindle, while the winding spindle enters the housing to receive the empty cores from it.</p> |
