1512928 Shelving W FEHLBAUM 8 June 1976 [16 June 1975] 23724/76 Heading A4B [Also in Division F2] A shelf support frame comprises a plurality of uprights 1 inter-connected by cross-members 3, 4 carrying flaps 6 on which the shelves are supported, each upright 1 having longitudinal slots 2 through which rectangular heads 7 of bolts 8 are passed and rotated through 90 degrees'to clamp against the inner face of the upright walls, each bolt 8 forming part of a locking means provided at each end of the cross-members 3, 4, the shank of the bolt 8 being secured to a collar 11 by a pin 12 and the collar 11 being integral with a flap 6, and the shank being rotatably mounted in bearings 13, 14 at least the one 13 nearest the head 7 being of resilient rubber and extending beyond the end of the associated cross-member 3 or 4. The arrangement is such that the bolt head 7 is passed through the slot 2 with the flap 6 raised and so that studs 9 on the cross-member 3 or 4 enter the slot 2. Thereafter the flap 6 is swung down to its horizontal, operative position whereby the bolt head 7 is rotated to a position in which it bears on the inner face of a wall of the upright 1 and at the same time the bolt head end of the bearing is compressed and bears on the outer face of the wall and frictionally secures the cross-member to the upright 1. |
