<p>The self aligning bearing includes an interior ring with a part spherical external sliding surface and an exterior ring with a corresponding spherical internal surface. The two rings are of hgih quality tempered steel. The face of at least one of the rings is partly or completely covered with channels containing dry lubricant. The channels may be formed in a lattice with corrugations, relief or other similar surface irregularities. The distance between the neighbouring channels is less than the amplitude of the relative movement of the bearing surfaces during normal use.</p> |
