Grinding machine exhaust system - has cowl in two parts partly enclosing wheel and forming exhaust passage

The exhaust system is for a machine with a grinding or polishing wheel, particularly for machining footwear, comprising a cowl partly enclosing the wheel. The cowl comprises two main parts (2, 3) each forming an exhaust passage, and enclosing part of the periphery of the wheel (1). The front part can extend below the rear one, the two being both connected to a third exhaust passage, and being assembled by sliding together. The two passages can be separated from each other by an intermediate plate, extending nearly to the rear end. The design gives max. protection to the operator, and is easily cleaned out.
