The rocker switch comprises a support box and an operating button which may pivot inside the support to establish various temporary electric contacts between the base of the button, and the base of the support. The switch has four different positions, including one rest position. Two end contacts may be made by rocking the button (5) in one direction or the other about a pivot axis (6, 7) pressing on one end or the other of the button. A central contact is made by pressing the button centrally. In each case the button is returned to its neutral position by a central coil spring (13) held in an annular groove on the underside of the button.
