Fuel saving device fitted to throttle pedal - has sprung stop to limit throttle setting for normal pedal pressure

The fuel saving device comprises a spring loaded plunger (7) set under the throttle pedal and limiting the throttle setting to between 75 and 85% of full throttle. To obtain full throttle the driver has to press down harder as in a kickdown control. The system can be fitted to any type of vehicle, esp. contruction vehicles and haulage vehicles, which operate for long periods, and in which fuel consumption increases rapidly as full throttle is reached.
