<p>1510875 Sawing DKALTENBACH 16 June 1975 [8 Nov 1974] 25587/75 Heading B5L A cold circular saw comprises a saw blade 7 mounted on a pivotal arm 3 for feed movement towards a workpiece 10 mounted on a bench, feed of the saw blade being effected by mechanically interengaging and relatively movable threaded spindle and nut members connected between the saw arm 3 and the bench, one of the members being driven to effect said relative movement and thus feed of the saw blade. The members may, as shown, consist of an interengaging nut 17 and screw spindle 12, the spindle being belt-driven from a motor 4 (Fig. 2, not shown) a driven nut engaging a non-rotatable ball-screw spindle; in a further embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) the drive motor (4) and a rotary spindle (25) are mounted on the saw arm (3) while in the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown) the point of the attachment to the saw arm (3) is on the opposite side of the pivot of said arm from the saw blade.</p> |
