<p>Test cabinet or chamber works on air circulation and has heat- or cold-storing masses in separate compartments. It is adapted for abrupt and substantial temp. changes. Partitioning of the cabinet >=3 compartments is achieved by adjustable partitions located inside the cabinet. (The partitions are designed as slides in form of plastics, pref. PTFE, plates. Each slide is moved by a pneumatic cylinder. The slides mov horizontally, independently of one another). At least one compartment is designed as hot compartment with storer, and at least one as cold compartment with storer. Between these compartments there is one for receiving the article to be tested, which is subjected to the temp. changes by altering the flow direction of heated or cooled air. Used for testing the behaviour of materials when subjected to abrupt and large temp. changes. Test space can, in addn. be controlled by supply of fresh air. Temp. in the hot compartment can be raised by supply of further heat-storing material e.g. above 300 degrees C; or further lowereded, in the cold compartment by use of other cooling media e.g. to -190 degrees C. Each compartment has separately regulated pre-setting of temp. Each space has separate air circulation.</p> |
