<p>Electrolytic colouring of eloxated Al with a power source supplying symmetrical, sinusoidal alternating current voltage, takes place by using a switch circuit in which the power source is connected with article to be coloured over 2 anti-parallel, independently controllable switch elements, pref. formed by thyristors. Initial filter effect of oxide layer can be controlled; electrical charges during colouring and subsequent later filter effect can be equalised. Articles having wide surface wt./vol. can be coloured without loosening oxide layer adhesion to substrate metal.</p> |
