<p>The door consists of two panels attached to a framework (1) and separated by a cellular core made from, for ex-strips of cardboard stuck together to form lozenge or hexagonal shaped cells. The straps of cardboard are provided with slots to accommodate the resistance wire (4) which is wound up and down inside the door. The wire can either be placed near one panel, in the middle of the door or near both panels, depending on which panels are to be heated. Alternatively one panel can be insulated to prevent unwanted loss of heat. The door functions as a radiator for infra-red radiation.</p> |
