[Also in Division F2] The picker 4 continues moving after the shuttle 1 has stopped to free it from the shuttle to enable the drop boxes to be moved. The picker 4 abuts a hydraulic piston 7 whose end has a reduced portion 15 cooperating with a stepped bore 16 of a cylinder 11 so that, initially, there is relatively large resistance to movement to stop the shuttle then, when the shuttle has stopped, relatively little resistance to enable the picker to continue movement and finally a greater resistance to stop the piston. The buffer is self recouperating. |
