Image converter tube operating circuit - has brightness scanning pulse generator with voltage surge generator and switch for sawtooth generator

The image converter tube has an intensity control electrode and a deflection electrodes. To the former is connected a pulse generator for a brightness scanning pulse with a front and tail flank. To the deflection electrodes is connected a deflection circuit with a sawtooth voltage generator. The brightness scanning pulse generator contains a surge voltage generating circuit whose voltage forms the front flank of the brightness scanning pulse. A voltage controlled switch connected to the sawtooth generator closes at a present amplitude of the sawtooth voltage. The switch is in parallel to the output of the surge voltage generator. Its closing forms the tail flank of the brightness scanning pulse.
