<p>1449710 Rotary furnace walls COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE 5 July 1974 [7 Aug 1973] 29966/74 Heading F4B A rotary furnace for the processing of articles 7 made of AZnO 3 , BeO or ThO 2 comprises a graphite outer tube 1 and an inner tube of alumina carried by annular spacers 3 and 4 of small contact area and made of tungsten carbide or silicon carbide. In a modification (Figs. 2 and 3) the outer tube may be formed with ribs contacting the inner tube the contact surfaces being coated with carbide. The inner tube may be made of ThO 2 , BeO or ZrO 2 . The spacers or coated surfaces prevent inter-reaction between the tubes under operating conditions.</p> |
