<p>Carbon black which has an activity, factor, defined as the numerical product of the specific surface in m2/g by the CO content in millimoles/g of carbon black of not >62, pref. 65 to 99, and a ratio of non-porous specific surface to the total specific surface of >0.8, pref. >0.9, and an index of absorption of dibutyl phthalate of >110 ml. of dibutyl phthalate per 100g of pelleted carbon black. Rubber products ctg. the carbon black have improved tensile strength, hardness, modulus and abrasion resistance.</p> |
