The arm-sized water bath (10) has a water circulation ith a heater (29) - preferably thermostatically controlled (27) - a pump (25) and preferably a vavle-controlled drainage hose (32, 33). The bath is fitted with a grid (20) to generate the bubbles. A fan (52), protected (at 40) against the entry of water from the bath, blows air into the water under the grid (35, 37). For demonstration purposes, the bath is let into a table top, with the rest of the apparatus on an enclosed shelf underneath, and the drainage pipe projecting. It is pref. run from a separately-housed low--voltage safety transformer.
