Steep-angle bulk material conveyor - has flatter section enclosed by walls at transfer point

The steep-angle conveyor is for loading material in bulk into a warehouse, and has a centrally-supported derricking conveyor belt travelling in the lengthwise direction of the warehouse. Where material is transferred to the belt (2) it has a flatter section (3) inclined to the remainder and enclosed by lateral guide walls (5) for the material. This section is followed by a transfer section (4) to the steep portion (2), in which the belt is formed into a V-section trough, supporting rollers being provided at both sides. This gives compression of the material with reduced dust generation as the material is continuously discharged downwards.
