Lightweight building panel with cavities - by coating a cavity-contg. solid core with hardenable material

A light- wt. building panel is mfd. by preparing a solid core which has a number of parallel passages; introducing the core into the injection-mould of an extruder; and continuously extrusion-coating >=1 surface of the core with a hardenable material. Used in partitions and similar light-wt. structural pts. Good mechanical strength and rigidity are achieved.
