<p>A pressure control valve, which is used to regulate the speed of a flowing medium in a pipe etc. It has a spring loaded diaphragm and inner centre disc to control the inlet and outlet flow of the medium. Control is via the diaphragm as a function of the pressure of the medium to be regulated. The movement of the shut off plunger (5) is determined by the diaphragm (4) and the spring (8). There is a centring edge (9) along the circumference of the diaphragm, with a snug fit against the cover, shifted up to a brush to produce a seal. The diaphragm, centring edge and shut off element are made from one piece of flexible material such as rubber.</p> |
