Low-noise pneumatic tyre - with damped tread element vibrations by vulcanised special rubber inserts in grooves
摘要

The road noise, caused by the vibrations of the separate elements of the tread in vehicle tyres, is reduced by obstructing the vibrations. This is achieved by filling out the cross grooves between the tread elements with a special rubber mix which is vulcanised into the grooves. This mix optimises the attenuation of the vibrations. To compensate for the lost drainage, cross holes are bored across the base of the tread elements. An alternative method is based on incorporating parallel plane or diagonally arranged cord bands in the tread elements.
