<p>1502866 Guiding cables ALLIS-CHALMERS CORP 29 Oct 1975 [23 Dec 1974] 44657/75 Heading B8B Hydraulic fluid for operating attachments carried by the lifting carriage 67, 69 of a masted lift truck, is supplied. by pairs of co-extending conduits 91, 92, 93, 94, 131 and 133 delivering fluid from the truck body to manifolds 101, 102 on the carriage, the pairs of conduits passing over pulleys 83, 84, 136, 137 to co-extend with operating chains 61, 62, 103, 104 of the carriage and telescopic mast 11. Each pulley 83, 84, 136, 137 has a groove of sufficient radial depth to accept the associated two conduits, one on top of the other. The inner section 33, 34 of the mast, along which the carriage rolls, is elevatable relative to the intermediate mast section by an hydraulic ram 41 and the carriage is movable along the inner mast section under the control of hydraulic rams 42, 43 having piston mounted chain wheels 58, 59 engaging chains 61, 62 extending between the carriage and a fixture on the inner mast section. The pulleys 83, 84 for conduits 91, 92, 93, 94, are mounted on the ram pistons directly above the chain wheels 58, 59 but oblique thereto so that the conduits don't interfere with the chains. Once the fully extended rams 42, 43 have moved the carriage to the top of the inner mast section, the ram 41 is operated which causes the intermediate mast section to rise due to chains 103, 104 fixed between the inner and outer mast sections 33, 34 and 13, 14 and passing around chain wheels at the base of the intermediate section, pulleys 136, 137 laterally adjacent these chain wheels guiding the co-extending conduit pairs 131, 133. Guide rollers are provided between relatively moving mast sections formed from channel and I-sectional beams, and the outer mast section 13, 14 is tiltable relative to the truck body.</p> |
