<p>Storage tank, partic. underground water tank, comprises a metal inner tank wall surrounded by heat insulation, pref. hard polyurethane foam, surrounded by a protective casing, pref. glass fibre-reinforced polyester. Between the inner tank wall and the insulation are first a heat protection layer, pref. a fleece of glass or textile fibres, then at least in the region of the tank bottom a buffer layer, pref. of soft foam, e.g. asbestos foam, and finally a divider layer, pref. of polyethylene film. The buffer layer pref. has a crescent-shaped cross-section in the region of the tank wall. The tank has a simple structure and good insulation.</p> |
