(preferably 700-750 p.s.i.g.) is rapidly charged into the container C, the gas flowing between the cap flange F and a corresponding bead B on the container, and lifting the cap from the bead by less than 0À23 inch (preferably 0À15- 0À20 inch). The flange F is then immediately seated on and sealingly crimped to the bead F by expansion of collets 31. The method is suitable for use with known undercap fillingmachines for aerosol dispensers.
