<p>The lighting equipment is particularly for use as a vehicle headlamp, having one or more optical grilles of transparent material in front of the light source. These each comprise convergent parallel cylindrical lenses (2), the lenses having in cross-section the same shape as circular lenses, but extending for some length. The thin edges of the lens elements (2) are all on the same side, so that the rays passing through them are deflected from the opposite side, so as not to inconvenience the user or any observer. This thin edges can be uppermost, so that the rays passing through are deflected downwards.</p> |
