<p>A method and apparatus for cooling and, preferably also, simultaneously de-dusting a hot particulate material, such as calcined petroleum coke, containing a substantial percentage of fines are described. The cooling and de-dusting operations are highly efficient and are carried out by modification of conventional rotary cooler apparatuses presently being used by industry for cooling various particulate materials such as calcined petroleum coke.</p> |
