The demodulator circuit is used for frequency modulated recorded signals obtained from a recording support at a selected reproduction speed. A discriminator (DIS) supplies a pulse to the start input of a pulse source (IG) for each zero transition, of the frequency modulated signal. The discriminator (DIS) is also coupled to a logic circuit (LOG) receiving the output pulses from the pulse source (IG) supplying a pulse for each discriminator pulse beginning with the first pulse from the pulse source and ending after a given number of pulse corresponding to the reproduction speed.
