1499354 A method for the combusiton of fuel MUSTAD STOPERT & MEK VERSTED A/S 20 May 1976 [21 March 1975 21 Nov 1975] 11866/75 and 18218/76 Heading F4B Fuel, which may be of the low grade type, is supplied to a bed 6 which is fluidized by a gas mixture supplied by a blower 9 to a windbox 2. The blower 9 sucks in gases from the combustion chamber branch conduit 11 which mix with and heat air sucked in through the conduit 12. The mixture, which is controlled by regulating means in the conduits 11 and 12, serves as a fluidizing gas and as sub-stoichiometric primary combustion air for gasifying the fuel in the fluidized bed 6. Secondary air is supplied through inlets 13 for further combustion of the gases in the chamber 4. In an alternative arrangement an ejector (14), Fig. 2 (not shown), supplied with air from a high pressure blower entrains combustion gases from the combustion chamber in the desired quantity for supplying the windbox 2. |
