Press tool automatic lubrication system - has finger on truck extending into path of tool driving member

The automatic lubrication and/or cooling system is for the moving upper tool of a moulding or stamping machine or press, having lubricating or cooling fluid sprayed onto vertical slides from a travelling truck. The truck(7) has a finger (26) protruding into the vertical path of a driving member fixed to the upper tool (1). It is held freely by supports (34, 35) from the machine frame (3) at a level such that the finger is at a slightly lower level than the driving member when the upper tool is at the lowest point of its stroke. The finger can move up and down in relation to the truck, to which it is coupled by a spring, pref. working in conjunction with a damper (32).
