Tubes are manufactured by drawing, the product being deformed during drawing by the die, and simultaneously being subjected to a torque. The torque is applied to the part (1a) of the product (1) emerging from the drawing die (2) while a turning of the part (1b) of the product before the die is prevented. The drawing appliance consists of a bed, a tension ring with a drawing die, and a drive carriage to draw the product. The carriage (8) has a grab unit (13), and an appliance to apply a torque, the tow being in kinematic connection. The grab unit is positioned for a co-axial turning movement, with another unit being located so as to prevent a turning movement this being positioned in front of the inlet to the nozzle.
