The ground mines and other military devices are camouflaged with camouflage colour. The latter is applied by relatively simple means over the component. The mine or an instrument has an envelope which is stretched over it. This envelope is coloured with a camouflaging colour. This envelope can be a shrink film, esp. in the form of shrunk-on hose. The film or hose can have impressed or profiled, esp. parallel grooves or webs on its outside surface.
