Switching circuit for railway points - has interlock signals between points bordering shunting sections to prevent flank collision

The circuit for section clearance signalling for railway points and shunting sections prevents passing traffic in sections where there is a danger of flank collision. In addition to their own track clearance signals, the points operation is made dependent on the signalled status of the other points connected into the track section. For each points set a separate clearance signal unit is provided. The associated track signal unit is connected in series with it via a contact. The supply to the switching circuit of the first points set and its clearance relay is via a contact of the track signalling unit of the second set of points. This contact is closed as long as the second points are not occupied.
