By the method at least two foils (4, 6) serving as side walls(8) of foil bags are supplied, the foils being interconnected andthen cut into individual foil bags. Any possible differences inthe quantities of foil material supplied by at least the two foilsfor the production of one foil bag in the direction of the supplyare eliminated by stretching of the foil having smaller quantityof foil material.
