The circuit optically signals presence of input and output voltages of an equipment with or without potential separation, esp. of power supply units. In order to monitor input voltage (UE), a light receiver, e.g. a phototransistor (T) is provided in the input circuit is series with a protective resistor (R1), and in parallel with a signalling lamp (LR). In order to monitor the output voltage (UA), a lamp (L) as a transmitter is provided in the output circuit in series with a protective resistor (R2). This lamp (L) and the phototransistor (T) are mounted in a case (OK) screened from external light.
