PURPOSE:To decrease the total number of delay circuits and to realize the musical sound synthesizer of small-scale constitution by unbalancing the delay time of a delay circuit for a progressive wave signal and the delay time of a delay circuit for a reflected wave signal. CONSTITUTION:A musical sound control information generating circuit 21 detects the operations of various operation elements mounted on a musical instrument main body and generates musical sound control information according to the detected operations. A resonance circuit 23 has delay circuits DFA1 - DFAn arranged only on the transmission line of the progressive wave and also has delay circuits DFB1 - DFBn arranged only on the transmission line of the reflected wave. Then, either of the delay circuits for the progressive wave and the delay circuits for the reflected wave are given a delay time in an extreme case and the total can be equalized to a specific time corresponding to a musical sound to be generated. In this case, the total number of the delay circuits can be decreased to half as compared with a case where delay circuits for the progressive wave and reflected wave are used as many as each other. Consequently, the musical sound synthesizer of small-scale constitution is obtained. |
