The circuit for heating motor vehicle door or boot locks includes an electrical heating element on the lock. This circuit is switched on by switch connected to the lock actuating arrangement. It is automatically switched off by a limiting switch for a specified heating condition. The limiting switch is a timing switch (5) which is tripped by the control switch (10). The timing switch has a control switch with transistors (7, 8) whose circuit (9) has control switch (10) and a time determining RC element (11, 12).
