Each leg consists of a fixed housing (11) supported at one end from the underside of a beam (3) and in the lower part of the hull at the other. The support leg (12) slides inside the housing and is operated by means of a concentric hydraulic jack (17). The jack is fixed at the top end (18) and at the lower end of the leg (19). A foot plate (13) swivels on the pin (14) at end end of the leg. The foot is housed flush with the hull and takes up the slope of the sea bed as required. A manually operated hydraulic pump (10) will act as standby to the main pump (8).
