The light carrying mast has tubular body whose wall in lower part has an opening covered by a plate. A bridging reinforcement strap (1) extends in longitudinal direction along the opening. This strap is fastened on the upper and lower edges of the opening. This strap transmits forces from the upper part to the lower mast part. The stiffening strap (5) is a narrow plate which is bolted on the tube wall (2). This stiffening strap has also a device for fastening the closing plate.
