The equipment located a screwed spindle in the axial direction at both ends for use where slow extension is possible e.g. due to heat expansion. One end of the spindle is mounted in a conventional thrust bearing (1) and the other by bearing in a sliding component (4). Between this component and the stationary parts (5) two chambers (9, 10) are formed for hydraulic fluid. The chambers are connected together via a suitably calibrated hydraulic resistance (R). There can be two stop valves (12) in the hydraulic fluid circuit, and the sliding component cna be a ring acting as the stop for the thrust bearing the chambers being formed on opposite sides of it. |
