<p>Methods is provided for finishing the corner joints of window or door frames consisting of mitre-cut plastic profiles welded together. The beads formed by heating, compression and/or welding and projecting beyond the profile surfaces are removed by cutting tools at the corners from both sides of the frame. The projecting part of the beads at the stepped side surfaces of the outer corners of an arm of the frame is removed by a cutting tool moving along the stepped surfaces and beyond the outer corner, then the same is performed on the other arm. The beads of the corner joint at the flat outer and inner surfaces of the frame, are removed by cutting tools moving in the direction of mitring beyond the mitring zone, and guided over the profile surfaces at the corner to form a cut surface flush with the adjacent profile surfaces by means of a stop.</p> |
