Compounds II in which R1 1 is C 1-8 alkyl are prepared by esterifying the corresponding acids. Pharmaceutical compositions having hypolipaemic and vasodilatory activity, for oral, rectal or parenteral administration, comprise a compound I together with a pharmaceutical carrier or excipient.
