<p>A sewing machine includes a main drive shaft on which is fitted a sleeve which rotates with the drive shaft. A drive element, pref. the flywheel is mounted freely rotatable on the shaft by means of a central bush having a low friction surface. The sleeve carries a transmission linkage which can engage the flywheel so that the flywheel rotates with the shaft. The flywheel can be easily disengaged from the shaft when e.g. the flywheel is used to wind yarn onto the shuttle bobbin.</p> |
