The high-speed monopolar electric motor has, in a first version, the multiplication of its electromotive force achieved using the active parts of the rotor. The latter are connected into a series electric circuit by the stator's liquid metal collector. Alternatively the active parts of the rotor consist of cylindrical rings one inside the other connected into a series electric circuit by connecting discs and the collectors. There are two groups of stationary annular mercury collectors. Each collector has a horizontal transverse magnetic field cutting it, the induced current flowing vertically. The resulting force on the mercury is opposite that of the centrifugal force caused by contact with the brushes.
|
