The gas heated tubular heater is used for heat treatment furnaces in which chemical processes are carried out in a controlled atmosphere. The heater consists of closed pipes. The heating tube arrangement has a central fuel pipe arrangement which prevents deposition of soot on the central fuel pipe. The burner assembly has an air supply pipe 2 with a channel 8 for air. Compressed air is blown into this air channel. This air flows at first along the central gas supply pipe 6 up to the bottom 10 of the air ducting pipe 2. At this point the air flow is reversed along the perforated walls 4 of the air supply pipe 3. A tubular coaxial separating wall 5 is arranged within the air supply pipe between its perforated walls and the central pipe 6 which supplies gaseous fuel to the burner assembly. |
