<p>A switchgear enclosure is used for a HV distribution and control system. The enclosures are prefabricated and filled with an electronegative gas such as SF. Interlock mechanism are included preventing access to high voltage components etc. during maintenance operations and include a grounding contactor. The individual gas tight enclosures are of metal and are provided with viewing windows and internal mirrors to maximise the viewable volume. Three sets of operating levers are employed and one accessible from outside the enclosures, interlocks to a fuse board preventing access unless live components and associated cables have been grounded. Each compartment includes a short circuit indicator and a power warning lamp.</p> |
